The Freeman Marine Model 2222K (2423 Series) is a rugged, heavy-duty square deck hatch featuring a 22" x 22" (559 x 559 mm) clear opening and time-tested knife-edge sealing technology. Engineered for flush deck installation, it provides a completely level profile that eliminates obstruction and optimizes working deck efficiency.
Utilizing Freeman's commercial knife-edge sealing mechanism, a raised coaming knife edge bites firmly into a resilient hollow seal housed within the cover plate. This concentrated pressure ensures 100% watertight and weathertight integrity against heavy breaking seas and high hydrostatic heads. The lift-out cover plate can be removed completely, providing unrestricted clearance for crew transit and machinery maintenance.
