The Freeman Marine Model 2020K (2422 Series) is a rugged, heavy-duty square deck hatch featuring a 20" x 20" (508 x 508 mm) clear opening and field-proven knife-edge sealing technology. Engineered for flush deck mounting, it blends smoothly into deck surfaces, eliminating tripping hazards and facilitating seamless deck cargo operations.
The hatch utilizes Freeman's proven knife-edge sealing system, where a precision coaming knife edge concentrates dogging force into a resilient hollow neoprene gasket recessed in the cover plate. This creates a 100% watertight and weathertight barrier capable of withstanding heavy sea wash and high hydrostatic loads. The fully removable lift-out cover plate enables completely unobstructed access for crew and equipment in restricted deck spaces.
