The Freeman Marine Model 20K (2407 Series) is a heavy-duty, high-performance round deck hatch featuring a 20-inch (508 mm) clear opening and time-tested knife-edge sealing. Recognized worldwide across commercial marine operations, the knife-edge design concentrates dogging pressure along a raised coaming edge against a durable hollow seal housed in the cover plate, providing absolute 100% weathertight and watertight protection against severe wave action and high water pressure.
Designed for flush mounting, the Model 20K includes a fully removable lift-out cover plate, offering unobstructed access for crew maintenance and equipment handling. Having the gasket located inside the cover plate protects it from impact and mechanical abrasion during heavy deck cargo loading.
