The Freeman Marine Model 1524 (2433 Series) is a rugged, heavy-duty oval deck hatch featuring a 15" x 24" (381 x 610 mm) clear opening. As a renowned marine standard for oval manholes, it provides comfortable personnel entry and equipment handling while fitting efficiently within longitudinal deck structural members. Designed for true flush mounting, it integrates smoothly into the deck surface, preventing tripping hazards and eliminating standing water or debris accumulation around the coaming.
Featuring Freeman's field-proven compression sealing technology, a resilient gasket fitted in the coaming groove seals tightly and 100% watertight against the flat machined underside of the cover plate. Unlike knife-edge hatches, compression seal hatches do not require external coaming drain tubes and resist impact damage during demanding deck operations.
