The Daniamant L161 is an intrinsically safe (Ex) lifebuoy light engineered specifically for tankers, gas carriers, offshore rigs and hazardous marine zones where explosive atmospheres may occur.
Fully certified to IMO SOLAS/MED, ATEX (Zone 0, 1 and 2), IECEx and USCG/UL913 standards. The L161 is completely maintenance-free with a sealed lithium battery delivering a 5-year service life, providing over 2 hours of illumination at >2 cd output.

- Intrinsically safe classification: Ex ia IIC T4/T3 Ga for hazardous zones 0, 1 and 2.
- Drop-tested to 76 metres, far exceeding the mandatory 30-metre SOLAS requirement.
- Automatic lanyard activation upon lifebuoy deployment.
- Supplied complete with heavy-duty mounting bracket.
- Direct modern replacement for the legacy Daniamant L40 Exproof.
