Description

This genuine Daniamant test probe significantly accelerates routine inspections of water-activated lifejacket lights across marine fleets and safety stations.

Featuring dual-ended testing pins, it is compatible with Daniamant models W2, WR2, W3, WR3, WL3 and W4-A. It provides a standardized, professional test method without requiring water basins or makeshift metal pins.

Testing Instructions:
1. Insert the correct probe pin into the light's water contact socket. The light should start flashing within 2 minutes.
2. Once flashing begins, remove the probe. The light should continue flashing independently.
3. If the light fails to flash, it has expired and must be replaced.
4. To turn off the light, press and hold the manual push-button for 1 second.

  • Daniamant Test Probe (Part no. TP):
    Submerging lifejacket lights in water during annual surveys is inefficient and risks unnecessary battery depletion. The genuine Daniamant Test Probe features dual testing pins designed for water contacts across models W2, WR2, W3, WR3, WL3, and W4-A. Inserting the appropriate pin completes the circuit, initiating flashing within 2 minutes. Once verified, the probe is withdrawn and the light is powered down via its manual switch. An indispensable tool for inspecting hundreds of lifejackets swiftly.

2. Retrofit Adapter Plates & Housings – No New Bulkhead Drilling

During fleet modernizations, labor costs and bulkhead penetrations add significant expense. Daniamant’s dedicated retrofit plates resolve these challenges seamlessly:

  • L16X Adapter Plate (Part no. 62-070A):
    Reuse existing fixing holes from legacy lifebuoy lights (L40, L41B, L90, or L120). Fasten the adapter plate directly into existing holes and secure the new L16X bracket using the included stainless steel hardware.
  • L170 Commercial Adapter Plate (Part no. 61-070A):
    Enables direct installation of the ultra-compact L170 Commercial light into the pre-existing fixing pattern of an L160/L16X bracket.
  • Conversion Housings for Legacy L7A/L7A2 Openings (Part no. 1970 & 1971):
    Replaces older recessed L7A lights on foam lifejackets. Part no. 1970 adapts the cavity for Dan WR3/MR3 lights, while Part no. 1971 allows modern DAN W4-A/M4-A lights to fit flush into the same space.
  • Retrofit Clip for MR2/WR2 (Part no. 1954):
    Allows direct mounting of modern Dan WR3 or MR3 lights onto existing legacy MR2/WR2 attachment points.

3. Service Spares, Gaskets & Replacement Domes

  • Daniamant L90 Servicing Components:
    Maintain the world's most widely fitted lifebuoy light with genuine parts. We supply replacement bulbs (Part no. 63-100), sealing O-rings (Part no. 63-800), threaded domes (Part no. 63-4001), and mounting brackets (Part no. 63-4003). Important: Always replace the O-ring when renewing bulbs to ensure continuous IP68 watertight protection.
  • Rescue Master 12V Spares:
    Genuine heavy-duty replacement filament bulbs (Part no. 23-605) and replacement transparent domes (Part no. 23-203).
  • ST-250 Replacement LED Module (Part no. 70-103):
    Replacement solid-state LED assembly for ongoing survey readiness of the ST-250 survival craft torch.

4. Lifejacket Mounting Clips & Webbing Straps

  • 50 mm Standard Clip (Part no. 1961): Standard clip for DAN W4-A and M4-A on 50 mm lifejacket webbing.
  • 25 mm Square Clip (Part no. 1950): For Dan W3 and M3 lights fitted to narrower 25 mm straps.
  • 50 mm Oval Clip (Part no. 1952): For Dan W3 and M3 lights fitted to heavy-duty 50 mm waist belts.
  • Oral Tube Clip (Part no. 1962): Specialized clip for mounting directly onto the oral inflation tube of inflatable lifejackets.
  • Universal Webbing Strap (Part no. 1901): Heavy-duty strap for securing lights around foam bodies and harnesses.
