Vickers Oils BIOGREASE EP0

BIOGREASE EP0 is an environmentally acceptable, lithium and calcium thickened lubricating grease based on fully saturated renewable esters, for sensitive marine environments where oil leakage may occur. Applications: Marine equipment demanding a semi-fluid NLGI 0 grease, primarily rudder stocks in centralised lubrication systems and propeller hubs and caps. May be applied manually or via centralised lubrication systems with suitable pumps. Benefits: Good resistance to the washing action of rain and seawater, effective corrosion protection for metals in the marine environment, extreme pressure additives that reduce wear and friction with good load carrying capacity, oxidation resistant and compatible with nitrile and fluoroelastomers. Technical profile: Consistency NLGI 0, base oil viscosity 150 cSt at 40 °C, drop point 174 °C, worked penetration 367, 4-ball weld load over 315 kg, designation KPEON-25 per DIN 51825, operating temperature -25 to +140 °C, water washout 4.6 percent at 38 °C, shelf life 5 years. Approvals and environmental profile: EU Ecolabel (NL/027/018), meets the VGP definition of an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL), biodegradable over 60 percent in the 28-day OECD 301B test and assessed as non-toxic in the marine environment.
