Vickerlube BIO WRL is a solvent free, biodegradable wire rope lubricant from Vickers Oils, formulated using readily renewable and biodegradable base oils. It is intended for applications where lubricant contamination and environmental issues are a concern. The fluidity helps ensure that the rope strands are well lubricated, reducing internal wear, while displacing moisture and forming a thin barrier of continuous lubricant film that prevents corrosion. Suitable for both stored and operational wire ropes.

Vickerlube BIO WRL is a solvent free, biodegradable wire rope lubricant based on readily renewable and biodegradable base oils, for use where environmental impact and oil leakage are a concern. The fluidity helps ensure that the rope strands are well lubricated, reducing internal wear, while displacing moisture and forming a thin barrier of continuous lubricant film that prevents corrosion.
Applications: Wire ropes on quayside ship to shore cranes, container handling equipment including straddle carriers and reach stackers, marine deck and winch ropes, and all lifting and drag ropes in mining, construction, logging and bridge or waterway applications. Also protects stored ropes against corrosion.
Benefits: Penetrates between strands to reduce internal wear, displaces moisture and leaves a sealing protective film, provides corrosion protection, extreme pressure resistance and lower environmental impact through a renewable and biodegradable base oil.
Technical profile: Viscosity 51 cSt at 40 °C, flash point over 200 °C (SETA), pour point below -18 °C, 4-ball weld load 200 kgf, copper corrosion 1b, rust test pass in both distilled water and synthetic sea water, biodegradable and renewable, shelf life 3 years.
