Vickers Oils NEOX DT sterntube lubricant

Vickers Oils NEOX DT is a mineral-based soft grease with a consistency approximating NLGI No. 2. It provides a very high standard of lubrication and corrosion protection and can also be used for grease packing in CPP hub units. Applications: Grease-lubricated stern tubes, wire ropes and rigging, container lashings and shackle threads, hatch cover bearings and runners, deck winches and slipway rails, grease packing in CPP hub units, and as a protective dressing where sea, fresh or condensation water may contaminate the system. Benefits: Very high standard of lubrication and corrosion protection, soft grease consistency, absorbs contaminating water to form a thick viscous emulsion that provides both lubrication and anti-corrosion properties, adheres well to metal, excellent resistance to the washing action of sea or rain water, does not harden excessively or crack in cold, wet conditions. Technical profile: Soft grease approximating NLGI No. 2, pour point 50 °C (ASTM D7346), flash point >205 °C (SETA), density 0.90 kg/l at 15 °C, mineral-based.
