Vickers Oils is a British manufacturer with over 200 years of experience in high-performance lubricants for marine and industrial applications. On this page you will find our complete range of greases from Vickers Oils, from biodegradable marine and industrial greases to mineral-based EP greases for heavy-duty industrial applications and synthetic specialty greases for the food industry. All greases are developed with a focus on performance, reliability and the environment, and are manufactured to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
The range is divided into three main categories. The biodegradable greases (BIOGREASE EP0 and EP2) are based on renewable esters and meet the VGP requirements for Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants, making them particularly suited to marine environments where oil leakage may occur. The mineral-based greases include marine soft greases (NEOX DT and NEOX DTX) with emulsifying properties for grease-lubricated stern tubes and deck equipment, as well as EP greases (HD GREASE EP2, HV EP 1000-1.5 and OGL 1860-0) for demanding industrial applications such as mining, quarrying and cement. The synthetic specialty grease (FGS EP GREASE 2) is a food-grade PAO-based grease for high-temperature and high-load applications in the food and beverage industry.
Biodegradable greases
Vickers Oils BIOGREASE EP0 and BIOGREASE EP2 are lithium and calcium thickened greases based on fully saturated renewable esters. Both hold the EU Ecolabel and meet the VGP definition of Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EAL), with biodegradability over 60 percent in the OECD 301B test. They are formulated for sensitive marine environments where oil leakage may occur, and combine corrosion protection with excellent resistance to wash off from rain and seawater.
Mineral-based EP Greases
This category comprises three mineral oil-based greases formulated for demanding industrial applications in mining, quarrying, cement and heavy industry. HD GREASE EP2 and HV EP 1000-1.5 are extreme pressure greases for bearings and couplings, while OGL 1860-0 is specialised for open gears with a solid lubricant additive and high viscosity base oil. All three are manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
Synthetic Specialty Greases
This category covers greases based on synthetic base oils for applications where mineral oil-based greases are not sufficient. FGS EP GREASE 2 is a food-grade PAO-based grease with NSF H1 registration, formulated for high-temperature and high-load environments in the food and beverage industry.
